Pantanagianni beach
We are literally surrounded by beaches which were also awarded, in 2022, the prestigious "Blue Flags", granted to certify the quality, purity and clarity of the water and of the services. Let's begin our itinerary.
Heading north along the coast, less than two kilometres from our B&B, is the beach of "Pantanagianni", also awarded the prestigious Blue Flag in 2022: here you can spend a wonderful day at the beach with a range of services that will make your stay comfortable.
And now Penna Grossa
Going south for about two kilometres, the vast and splendid beach of "Penna Grossa", also awarded the Blue Flag in 2022, a sought-after tourist destination for its wide expanses of very white sand, located on the edge of another pearl of our area, the international nature reserve of Torre Guaceto.
The wonder "Torre Guaceto"
Just beyond Penna Grossa bay begins the magnificent international nature reserve of Torre Guaceto, once again a Blue Flag, where you will find unspoilt beaches and the protected nature of the reserve.
Continuing along the beach you will reach the tower, which has also been the set of numerous films and documentaries. Continuing along a dirt road you will enter the swamp of the reserve, a favourite haunt of all kinds of migratory birds.
Absolutely not to be missed: a day dedicated to this wonder; it would be like going to Rome and not seeing the Colosseum or St. Peter's Square.
